Editor’s Summary
eHarmony is one of the best dating sites for Christian singles out there, even though it is not specifically built for Christians. The psychological test that you take to start the process is lengthy but important. It’s your life–take the time and put in the effort to be matched with people who suit you. The matching process is unique, however the site doles out matches to you a small amount at a time. Subscribing is expensive and in the premium segment of online dating, but ultimately worth it. We did feel confident that many, though not all, of our matches shared our values.
eHarmony was an interesting, but ultimately frustrating, online dating experience. You either love or hate the initial “Relationship Questionnaire” that you take to join the site. It is long and will require your mental stamina to complete. Once finished with the initial test, your matches are customized and can be pretty accurate, depending on your geographic location.
The site is definitely part of the premium segment of online dating. If it is worth it to you to be delivered specific, high quality matches, then eHarmony should definitely be considered.
Quality of Community
The quality of the eHarmony community is variable, but really great people do exist on this site. The community is very large and with that comes the ability to meet many great potential matches. While we would prefer if there were a greater commitment to Christian values, we acknowledge that by having a more mainstream site they can match you with more people.
Faith and Values
We would give eHarmony fair marks for the faith and values commitment of their community. Many members are well intentioned and high quality people. Other members are not. Part of the eHarmony experience is to wade through your matches and be very selective about your communications.
Value
We like the value proposition here because of the opportunity to meet so many high quality people. If you are serious about finding someone online, you should try eHarmony.
