CMatch has the potential to be a very good Christian dating website. The site is easy to use and provides a good, basic platform for online dating. We liked the fact that we were able to register for the site, fill out a quick questionnaire, and be ready to meet our matches once we were approved by the site administrators. We found the people at CMatch to be generally of very high quality. That said, the site has a large percentage of people who are international, though we limited our searches to people in the U.S.
The issue with CMatch is that it is a relatively small online dating community. It is really all about having a critical mass of people in your online community. Even with a high quality community, there have to be enough people in your geographical area to give you hope that your special Christian someone is just a mouse click away. Success begets success in the online world. A dating website like CMatch will become wildly popular over time, though right now it is on the smaller side.
In spite of the smaller community at CMatch, we loved the fact that it was a) free and b) full of high quality Christians. We would recommend subscribing to find out whether there are people in your area worth meeting. It’s worth a shot, particularly given that it doesn’t cost anything.
Quality of Community
The site is comprised mostly of committed Christians. While we focused our efforts on dating matches in the U.S., we found the people on CMatch to be worth talking to. The people with whom we communicated were friendly, engaging and committed to their faith. CMatch’s founders have created a good community that will only grow with time.
Faith and Values
The site promotes an atmosphere of respect and modesty. By individually approving each new member to the community, there is an aspect of quality control that goes a long way to fostering a Christian community. Not as many random sketchy people!
As part of a member’s profile, the final question asked is: “Please tell us something about your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.” We liked that this was part of the discussion and featured prominently. Though other Christian sites offer similar ways to discuss your personal faith, we liked CMatch’s straightforward approach to this very important issue.
