And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Editor’s Summary

Christian Cupid is a good, not great, Christian dating website.  The people with whom we communicated on this site were intelligent and devoted in their faith.  You can definitely meet a great person on this site by subscribing.  That said, there were fewer good potential matches here than on other websites.  We had the feeling that this site catered to a more international community and not just the U.S.  In the sign up process, it appears that members really come from all over the globe.  This is not a bad thing per se, but since we are located in the U.S. we wanted to find Christians in our local communities.  The company is based in Australia, which obviously gives it a more international perspective.

More plusses than minuses was the general theme at Christian Cupid.  We liked the site for its sharp layout and ease of use.  We felt comfortable with the people with whom we communicated.  Also, the site allows for specific searches for local matches.  This was helpful and a feature that is not available at other sites.  One minor critique: we found several profiles on the site where the person hadn’t actively communicated in many, many months.  Check out Christian Cupid, but investigate a few other sites as well before you subscribe!

Quality of Community

The quality is pretty high.  There are active, kind, devoted people on this website.  The methods of communication, email and chat, are unsophisticated but work fine for an initial interaction.  The supplementary aspects to the site, like advice blog and “information,” were not robust.  We did like the Bible Quote Widget that they offered.  Overall, the community quality is fine but not the highest of our reviews.

Faith and Values

While the site is not owned and operated by a Christian organization, it is sufficiently well run and respectful of faith to earn it our approval.  The parent company does run many other dating websites.  You can read about the other sites here.  If you are truly looking for a site that is truly focused on Christian values, we would recommend Christian Café and Singles of Faith.
